Christian Communities

Tertiary Students in Albury-Wodonga

'The Corner House' Wodonga
and
'The Olive Grove' Albury

What's it all about?
A Christian Community's primary aim is to help people live out God's purpose for their lives, within a community of Christians. This is an opportunity for tertiary students in Albury-Wodonga to live in such a community, including:-

  • A Common Life. The students share a house together, building relationships, supporting each other

  • Learning. The community will seek to learn about the Gospel and the integration between faith, life and mission through regular bible study (in addition of course to their tertiary study!!)

  • Prayer and Spirituality. The members of the community make a commitment to regular prayer and worship, both individually and collectively.

  • Opportunities for Mission. The community will act in response to God's call to mission, seeking out directions for this work in appropriate ways.

Where are they?
The Wodonga residence, "The Corner House", is situated on the corner of Serpentine Crescent and Emerald Avenue, Wodonga and is next to the Emmanuel Anglican and Uniting Church. It is close to shops and sporting facilities, and on a major bus route.

The Albury residence, "The Olive Grove", was formerly The Manse. It is situated next to St David's Uniting Church on the corner of Olive and Wilson Streets, Albury. Diagonally across the intersection is the Albury Campus of Charles Sturt University. The main street of Albury is two blocks south.

There is public transport to the Albury Riverina Institute of TAFE Campus, the Albury and Thurgoona Campuses of Charles Sturt University, and to La Trobe University (Albury-Wodonga Campus) and Wodonga Institute of TAFE. Albury-Wodonga is well equipped with cycle paths and a student in these houses could manage with a bicycle or on foot.
